Jarrah Csunyoscka is an artist and student based in Tiohtià:ke/Mooniyang/Montreal. His interdispilinary practice combines research, viewer participation, and multiple physical mediums. His work has been Published independently and in aflots vol. 4, Shown virtually by Yiara magazine and physically at the concordia Black Box, anteism books, and Produit Rien.
Artist Statement
I am Concerned with finding and producing form, action, and image which sustain continuation not only in their content but in their very construction; things which will not stagnate because they will not cease to be worked. I follow these parameters to make works that aren’t place holders of meaning but companions to producing it. Their conceptual frameworks spring from their material histories and the necessities of their context. Provisional utilitarian forms, functions, and approaches are incorporated into the work, straddling the gap between art object, everyday item, and active intervention.
